We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Anna, HR manager at Escubedo, to discuss how the company is navigating a rapidly changing business landscape. In this short q&a, she shares insights on how to keep the team aligned with the company's objectives, as well as the vital role of HR in fostering communication and connection within the organization.
- What is your day-to-day like as the HR manager at Escubedo?
Escubedo is a highly dynamic company, and to effectively respond to the rapidly changing environment around us, it's essential to stay close to our team to ensure alignment with the company’s objectives. In addition to addressing the daily needs of our employees, the HR team has taken on the crucial role of consistently communicating with colleagues to convey the purpose behind every decision and action, bringing them closer to the company’s overall strategy.
- What team-building initiatives are carried out?
Team-building activities at Escubedo often stem from employee initiatives. We have a significant group of sports enthusiasts, and the activities they propose are usually well-received and supported by management, as they help promote healthy habits and highlight the importance of physical well-being. Regarding mental well-being, which is equally crucial for our employees' health, we have invited experts in various fields to inspire colleagues in managing the emotional burdens we all carry.
For a team to truly function, everyone's participation is needed. Therefore, it is essential for us that we all work together for the team's greater good.
- And training? How is it structured, and what importance does it hold within Escubedo?
Escubedo operates in a highly technical market, and we are the only company in Spain manufacturing some of our products. This requires us to develop talent internally. We have designed training paths for each position, outlining the knowledge each employee needs to acquire. HR and the management team closely monitor the progress of these training paths to shorten the learning curve, enabling professionals to feel they are contributing value to the company as quickly as possible. We believe this is a motivational factor shared by all professionals, regardless of their role.
